Common questions
A local image in my document doesn't show.
MDReader is sandboxed, so macOS requires your permission to read files outside the document itself. Click "Grant Access" in the banner (or use the resource panel on the right) and select the image folder once — MDReader remembers it afterwards.
Quick Look doesn't preview my .md files.
Launch MDReader once after installing so macOS registers the extension. If it still
doesn't work, log out and back in, or run qlmanage -r in Terminal.
How do I change the theme?
Open Settings (⌘,) → Theme. Pick a built-in theme or duplicate one and edit its CSS — changes apply live.
Can MDReader edit files?
You can toggle to the raw source view and make quick edits. For heavy writing we recommend your favorite editor — MDReader live-reloads whenever the file changes.
How do I export to PDF or HTML?
File → Export as HTML for a self-contained web page, or File → Print → Save as PDF for a print-ready document.
